How to get rid of it?

How to get rid of this pest? It stands to reason that I either have to kill it, or find some way to drive it from the house. Since I am something of a pacifist I decided that the best approach was to discourage it's continued habitation in my attic. To this end I proceeded to purchase some small ultrasonic pest replant devices. These are little electronic transmitters that radiate sound only squirrels can hear - and apparently the squirrels hate it so much that they decide to reside with your neighbor ins.

What is it?

Since the scratching sound occurred during the day, general internet wisdom was able to determine that it was probably a squirrel. I think I would prefer the tiger. My father spent much of his retirement trying to prevent squirrels from eating the food that he lovingly provided for songbirds, and after a long battle of wits, he had constructed some pretty elaborate squirrel counter measures. The day he saw his nemesis scale a greased pole, traverse the electrified razor wire, leap through the burning hoop to steal the bird seed, all while avoiding dad's air rifle barrage, convinced my father he was no match for this ingenious and innovative creature.

Something in the attic

So I'm working happily, banging out the next chapter of my book, “Hot Heads,” when I hear a scratching noise in the ceiling above me. Something definitely not right, a sound that could only be a living creature up there. Lowering the attic stairs I cautiously climbed them, nervous – because I seem to remember that this is how “The Exorcist” started. Judging by the sound of the scratching I expected to find nothing smaller than a tiger roaming the roof rafters, but surprisingly I could find no sign of the intruder. Time to do some research.
