On this Day - Memorial

1868: Memorial Day begins when two women place flowers on both Confederate and Union graves.
Shortly after, an argument over whose flowers were nicer ensued, resulting in fisticuffs.
Thus began the great punch up of northern aggression.

OK – Here are three words that don’t belong in the same sentence: 200Km/h, Rocket and Experimental!

On this Day - Scotland

1503: The “Treaty of Everlasting Peace” was signed between England and Scotland.
It lasted until the Battle of Flodden, 10 years later, and was then replaced with a “Treaty of Everlasting animosity.”
